Can people with diabetes receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
Disease description:
I have diabetes myself, but I am required to get vaccinated. May I ask whether people with diabetes can receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
Diabetic patients experiencing an acute disease episode or whose condition is relatively unstable should temporarily defer vaccination. However, if their diabetes is well-controlled and their overall health is good, they may receive the vaccine under the guidance of a physician. It should be noted that vaccination should be postponed for pregnant women, lactating women, individuals with severe liver or kidney disease, uncontrolled hypertension (despite medication), and those with malignant tumors. Therefore, diabetic patients should currently defer receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
