Recurrent mouth ulcers may be caused by deficiencies in vitamin B12, vitamin B6, or vitamin C. Additionally, they may result from excessive internal heat (“shanghuo”) in the body. Patients should visit a hospital for trace element testing to identify the underlying cause and receive targeted treatment under a physician’s guidance. Dietarily, patients should consume more foods rich in vitamins.
