Hello, Amomi Fructus (Sha Ren) possesses the therapeutic effects of warming the Spleen, stimulating appetite, alleviating nausea and vomiting, relieving diarrhea, regulating Qi flow, stabilizing pregnancy, and promoting Qi circulation to resolve stagnation. Clinically, it is primarily used to treat syndromes of dampness obstructing the middle Jiao (epigastric region) and Qi stagnation in the Spleen and Stomach. When Spleen-Stomach deficiency manifests as epigastric distension, fullness, pain, or disharmony between the Spleen and Stomach, Sha Ren can be employed to resolve dampness, invigorate the Spleen, stimulate appetite, regulate Qi, and warm the middle Jiao. Moreover, Sha Ren enhances Spleen-Stomach function by promoting gastric juice secretion, increasing gastrointestinal motility, expelling accumulated gas from the digestive tract, and thereby improving overall digestive function and relieving abdominal distension. It is also effective for treating vomiting and diarrhea due to Spleen-Stomach deficiency-cold, helping to harmonize the middle burner to stop vomiting and warm the Spleen to arrest diarrhea. If symptoms significantly worsen, adjunctive treatment with herbs such as Aconiti Radix Praeparata (Fu Zi) and Zingiberis Rhizoma Dried (Gan Jiang)—which warm the interior and dispel cold—may be considered. Additionally, for pregnancy-related conditions such as morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum) or fetal restlessness, Sha Ren helps regulate Qi and harmonize the middle burner, thereby exerting a stabilizing effect on the fetus. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
