After waking up from a nap, I felt severe pain in my cervical spine and suspect it might be cervical spondylosis. I’d like to ask: Does cervical pain necessarily indicate cervical spondylosis?

Not necessarily. It could also be caused by prolonged forward head posture, muscle strain, or poor sleeping posture. The patient is advised to promptly visit a hospital for imaging examinations—such as X-ray or CT—to determine the underlying cause and receive targeted treatment. Neck pain may also result from accidental trauma to the cervical region; if the patient experiences significant pain, timely medical intervention is essential, followed by adequate rest in daily life.
