Cervical nabothian cysts encompass both physiological and pathological changes. Physiological changes primarily occur due to the metaplasia between cervical columnar epithelium and squamous epithelium, leading to the formation of nabothian cysts. Pathological changes, by contrast, are mainly caused by chronic cervicitis. Once diagnosed with cervical nabothian cysts, no treatment is required if the patient is asymptomatic; regular follow-up examinations at a hospital are sufficient.
