What eye drops are used for uveitis?
Disease description:
This morning, I noticed my eyes were slightly bloodshot and somewhat painful. After visiting the hospital for an examination, the doctor diagnosed me with uveitis. What eye drops can be used to treat this condition?
Patients with uveitis may use anti-inflammatory eye drops under the guidance of a physician; commonly used options include norfloxacin eye drops and levofloxacin eye drops. Mydriatic agents—such as atropine eye drops—may also be administered. Additionally, low-dose corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone) may be prescribed as adjunctive therapy. During treatment, patients should avoid staying up late, as sleep deprivation may exacerbate symptoms.
