How is sinusitis treated?
Disease description:
I’ve had nasal congestion and thick nasal discharge for several days. My doctor diagnosed it as sinusitis. How should it be treated?
Sinusitis can be effectively managed under a physician’s guidance with intranasal corticosteroid sprays, such as mometasone furoate nasal spray and triamcinolone acetonide nasal spray, which help control inflammatory responses and prevent recurrence. If symptom improvement is insufficient with nasal spray alone, oral antibiotics—such as metronidazole tablets or tinidazole tablets—may be added for anti-infective therapy.
