The primary symptom of renal cell carcinoma tumor thrombus is edema, predominantly occurring distal to the site of vascular obstruction; edema may also involve the perineal region. Patients often experience pain in the lumbar and abdominal areas. As the disease progresses, embolization may lead to respiratory failure and other complications. If any of the above symptoms occur, prompt medical evaluation is recommended. Diagnosis can be confirmed through imaging studies such as color Doppler ultrasound and computed tomography (CT).
