After onset, patients may experience recurrent symptoms such as ocular discomfort, redness, photophobia, and tearing. Symptomatic drug therapy typically leads to improvement within 1–2 weeks. If pharmacological treatment proves ineffective, surgical intervention should be initiated as early as possible. In some patients, the condition improves within 1–2 months and can be completely resolved. However, other patients exhibit refractory disease with suboptimal short-term treatment response; these cases tend to have a prolonged clinical course.
