At eight months pregnant, you have entered the third trimester, during which sexual intercourse is not recommended. In late pregnancy, the baby's head gradually descends into the pelvis and the placenta begins to age. Sexual activity can easily cause stimulation, potentially triggering uterine contractions, premature rupture of membranes, and risk of preterm labor. During intercourse, abdominal pressure may also lead to placental abruption. Under normal circumstances, sexual intercourse is prohibited during the first three months of pregnancy and the last three months.
