Excessive saliva secretion is somewhat related to the stomach. Excessive gastric acid secretion can irritate the gastric mucosa, causing food reflux, which in turn leads to drooling. For such cases, patients should first take medications that inhibit gastric acid secretion, such as omeprazole. Diet-wise, it's advisable to consume warm foods. Spleen and stomach deficiency-cold can also increase salivary gland secretion; in such cases, spleen-strengthening powders may be taken for regulation, along with maintaining good oral hygiene.
