Symptoms of degenerative sacroiliac joint arthritis
Disease description:
Hello, my uncle is 32 years old this year. He has been experiencing persistent body pain recently. Our neighbor is a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who diagnosed him with degenerative sacroiliitis. I would like to know the symptoms of degenerative sacroiliitis.
Symptoms of degenerative sacroiliitis typically include morning stiffness and pain. Morning stiffness indicates the presence of synovitis, but unlike rheumatoid arthritis, this stiffness is relatively short-lived, usually lasting no more than 30 minutes. Pain is the primary symptom and the main cause of functional impairment. It often presents as a persistent dull ache that worsens with activity and improves with rest. As the disease progresses, joint movement becomes limited by pain, and pain may even occur at rest.
