How to manage phimosis or redundant prepuce in children
Disease description:
My son has phimosis, and sometimes has difficulty urinating. I would like to know how to manage phimosis or redundant foreskin in children?
Most infants are born with physiological phimosis, which generally does not cause clinical symptoms and therefore usually requires no treatment—only observation is needed. However, local hygiene should be maintained during this period. As the child grows older, the penis gradually develops and smegma begins to accumulate under the foreskin. The foreskin typically separates gradually from the glans penis over time.
