What is phimosis?
The skin on my testicles feels a bit unusual, and it can be pulled back. When I went for an examination, the doctor said I have phimosis. I would like to know, what exactly is phimosis?

Phimosis refers to a condition in which part or all of the male glans penis is covered by the foreskin, preventing the foreskin from retracting fully to expose the glans. Normally, the foreskin can slide back easily to reveal the glans, but in cases of phimosis, this movement may be restricted or painful. In some instances, the foreskin opening is too narrow, resulting in a constricted foreskin (phimosis), which can cause difficulty in urination or accumulation of dirt, potentially leading to infections.
Phimosis may interfere with proper hygiene, increasing the risk of balanitis (inflammation of the glans) and urinary tract infections. It can also cause discomfort or pain during sexual activity. In adult males, phimosis may affect sexual function, such as restricting blood flow during erection due to tightness of the foreskin. If symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain, or an unusual odor occur, prompt medical attention is necessary.
