My daughter was diagnosed with pediatric bronchitis yesterday. She can't swallow pills, so I'm considering nebulizer treatment. I'd like to ask in advance: is nebulization effective?

Nebulization therapy is quite effective for pediatric bronchitis, as it delivers medication directly into the respiratory tract, quickly achieving anti-inflammatory, anti-asthmatic, expectorant, cough-suppressing, and immunity-enhancing effects. Without prompt and active treatment, pediatric bronchitis may progress to bronchopneumonia. Ordinary bronchitis can generally be alleviated within about a week with proper treatment. In cases of asthmatic bronchitis accompanied by fever and difficulty in expectorating phlegm, early administration of antibiotics and corticosteroids is necessary. Nebulization usually combines glucocorticoids with alpha interferon, which can help shorten the duration of illness in children.
