I started feeling some itching around my nipples last night, but I didn’t pay much attention to it at the time. This morning, upon waking up, the itching had worsened—and scratching doesn’t seem to relieve it. What could be causing this?

Hello, nipple itching may result from irritation of the skin surrounding the nipple or could be associated with mammary gland hyperplasia. We recommend that the patient gently cleanse the skin around the breasts. If itching persists after cleansing, a medical evaluation—including imaging studies—should be conducted at a hospital.
Additionally, undergarments worn directly against the skin should be made of cotton and be highly breathable to minimize skin irritation and subsequent itching. During treatment, maintain a healthy diet rich in fresh fruits and low in greasy or fatty foods. Avoid excessive physical fatigue and any pressure or trauma to the breasts.
