Dr. Liu Aihua
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune rheumatic disease primarily characterized by sterile inflammatory reactions affecting various joints throughout the body, most commonly and prominently in certain sites. Some patients may experience pain in joints such as the ankle, knee, elbow, lumbar spine, and cervical spine. Therefore, rheumatoid arthritis can also cause foot pain, particularly centered on the ankle joint. Symptoms of pain and stiffness often improve significantly with warmer weather or soaking hands in warm water.
