Disease description:

After I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I developed a full-body rash that might be lupus. I'm wondering, can Hashimoto's occur together with lupus?

Hashimoto's disease generally does not cause systemic lupus erythematosus. Typical symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus include fatigue, weakness, fever, and weight loss. Musculoskeletal manifestations include arthralgia, arthritis, joint deformities, myalgia, muscle weakness, and avascular necrosis. Hashimoto's thyroiditis does not cause systemic lupus erythematosus.
