How is abdominal aortic dissection treated?
Disease description:
At first, I had chest pain, and then the back pain started as well. After examination, I was diagnosed with abdominal aortic dissection. I would like to ask, how is abdominal aortic dissection treated?
Conservative treatment or surgery. The patient should immediately be placed on bed rest and have blood pressure maintained within the target range through continuous monitoring, typically keeping systolic blood pressure between 110 and 120 mmHg. Heart rate must also be strictly controlled, ideally between 60 and 70 beats per minute. Effective control of blood pressure and heart rate can reduce the risk of aortic dissection rupture. If the patient is in poor condition or is elderly, interventional surgery is recommended. This procedure is minimally invasive, with relatively fewer complications and lower risks.
