Symptoms of sacroiliac joint arthritis
Disease description:
Due to my job, I often sit in front of a computer, which sometimes causes stiffness and pain in my lower back, and occasionally my arms feel cold. A friend suggested it might be sacroiliac joint arthritis. What are the symptoms of sacroiliac joint arthritis?
Sacroiliitis mainly presents as pain in the lumbosacral region, accompanied by morning stiffness and restricted movement. This is an aseptic inflammation. Most cases of sacroiliitis are caused by other underlying diseases, so it must be differentiated from ankylosing spondylitis. If it is simple sacroiliitis, you may take analgesics when pain occurs, or use oral medications that protect cartilage, such as glucosamine sulfate. Alternatively, you may receive local steroid injections to relieve symptoms. Losing weight can help reduce stress on the sacroiliac joint. Additionally, physical therapies such as heat application and electrical heating may be used as adjunctive treatments.
