How long after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine can one become pregnant?
Disease description:
I have also registered for and received the COVID-19 vaccination. However, I am currently trying to conceive. May I ask: How long after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine can I safely become pregnant?
It is generally safe to become pregnant after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Although the COVID-19 vaccine helps prevent infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it does not interfere with fertility or pregnancy planning. If no adverse reactions occur shortly after vaccination, conception may be planned approximately 5–8 months later. Prior to attempting pregnancy, it is advisable to undergo a preconception health check-up at a hospital, and folic acid supplementation is recommended during the preconception period.
