Symptoms of enlarged prostate
Disease description:
Recently, my husband was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate, which has significantly affected his mood. What are the symptoms of an enlarged prostate?
Symptoms of an enlarged prostate include progressively worsening urination difficulty. Main manifestations are frequent urination, urinary hesitancy, incomplete bladder emptying, weak urine stream, and difficulty urinating. Patients may be unable to urinate spontaneously and may experience lower abdominal distension. Hematuria (blood in urine) may also occur. If infection is present, symptoms such as increased urinary frequency, urgency, dysuria (painful urination), and overflow incontinence may develop. Severe cases may lead to certain complications.
