It is generally safe to use an electric fan 24 to 72 hours after gua sha. Patients are advised not to use a fan within the first 24 hours after the procedure, as individuals undergoing gua sha often have excessive dampness in the body and should avoid exposure to wind. If significant pressure was applied during gua sha and tenderness persists when touching the area after 24 hours, it is recommended to wait 48 or even 72 hours before using a fan. Additionally, in daily life, patients should keep warm, drink warm water, and promote metabolism.
