Whether the vagina can be frequently rinsed depends on whether it is in a healthy condition. If the vagina is healthy, regular douching is not recommended, as a healthy vaginal environment is mildly alkaline. Frequent douching may not improve vaginal hygiene and could instead trigger gynecological disorders. If the vagina is unhealthy, vaginal irrigation may be performed under medical guidance, but should be discontinued once the condition is effectively controlled.
