A common fungal infection in women is fungal vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis, which is usually caused by Candida infection. It leads to symptoms such as external genital itching, increased vaginal discharge, and discharge with a curd-like or tofu dreg-like appearance. Additionally, prolonged exposure to a mold-contaminated environment may result in pulmonary fungal infection due to inhalation of mold spores. This type of infection mainly presents with high fever, difficulty breathing, coughing, and related symptoms.
