Common causes of fungal infections
Disease description:
I have a fungal infection. A friend said this condition is very common, but I'm a bit curious and would like to know why fungal infections are so prevalent.
A common reason for fungal infections may be the frequent sharing of personal items with others, or using shared toilets and bathtubs. However, it cannot be ruled out that excessive hygiene practices in women or long-term, heavy use of antibiotics may also contribute. Fungal infections require prompt treatment, with medications including clotrimazole, miconazole, and fluconazole. However, patients should not self-medicate, but must take medication under the guidance of a qualified physician.
