Disease description:

Last night I suddenly noticed small, egg-like bumps on my external genital area. I searched online and found that it might be a condition called pseudovesicular papules (pseudowarts). How should this be treated?

Dr. Liu Wan
When suffering from pseudovesicular lesions (pseudofolliculitis), targeted treatment should be selected based on the specific severity of the patient's condition: 1. If symptoms of pseudovesicular lesions are relatively mild or no other adverse symptoms are present, treatment is usually not necessary as the condition may resolve spontaneously over time; regular follow-up examinations are sufficient. 2. If symptoms are more severe, such as persistent raised bumps or granules, treatment under a doctor's guidance using physical therapies such as laser therapy, cryotherapy, or electrocautery is typically recommended.
