The difference between chronic bronchitis and bronchopneumonia
Disease description:
Recently, I've been coughing constantly and suspect I might have bronchopneumonia, but my husband thinks I might have chronic bronchitis. Could you please tell me what are the differences between chronic bronchitis and bronchopneumonia?
Chronic bronchitis and bronchopneumonia can be differentiated based on the site of involvement, symptoms, and other aspects. Chronic bronchitis affects the bronchial mucosa and surrounding tissues, and generally does not involve the lungs. Its main symptoms include nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, cough, and so on. Bronchopneumonia involves both the bronchial walls and alveoli, with primary symptoms including fever, cough, sputum production, and difficulty breathing.
