Obvious symptoms of early recurrence and metastasis after surgery for early-stage kidney cancer
Disease description:
My grandfather was recently diagnosed at the hospital with early-stage kidney cancer. He underwent surgery, but later experienced recurrence and metastasis. I would like to know what are the obvious symptoms of recurrence and metastasis after surgery for early-stage kidney cancer?
After recurrence and metastasis following surgery for early-stage kidney cancer, different symptoms may appear depending on the affected organs. If the cancer spreads to the lungs, symptoms such as coughing and hemoptysis (coughing up blood) may occur. If it metastasizes to the liver, patients may experience upper abdominal pain, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Recurrence after early-stage kidney cancer surgery may also cause low back or abdominal pain, as well as urinary urgency, frequency, and hematuria (blood in urine).
