Patients with heart disease can usually take fluconazole, but it should only be used under a doctor's guidance. Blind use is not recommended to avoid adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal symptoms including nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. In some cases, allergic reactions such as redness, itching, and rash may also occur. Generally, fluconazole does not affect the heart. It is advisable to maintain a light diet while taking this medication.
