Pregnancy is different from menstruation. Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon, and so is pregnancy. However, under the influence of estrogen during pregnancy, certain symptoms may appear. When estrogen levels increase by several thousand times, mild edema of the gastrointestinal mucosa can occur, clinically manifesting as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and excessive salivation—these are typically signs of pregnancy.
