How to treat flexor tenosynovitis of the fingers
Disease description:
I've always felt unwell, but I don't know what's causing it. After going to the hospital for a checkup, I was diagnosed with flexor tenosynovitis of the finger. Could you please tell me how to treat flexor tenosynovitis of the finger?
Treatment for flexor tenosynovitis of the fingers may include taking blood-activating and stasis-resolving medications, acupuncture therapy, local heat application, or injections of triamcinolone acetonide acetate. In addition, early-stage tenosynovitis can be managed with local corticosteroid injections, typically administered once a week. If the above treatments are ineffective or if symptoms recur, surgical tendon sheath incision is recommended. Early finger flexion and extension exercises should be performed postoperatively to prevent tendon adhesions.
