In the early stage of rheumatic heart disease, patients may present with respiratory infection symptoms such as cough, fever, and sore throat. Additionally, there may be signs of cardiac discomfort including palpitations, as well as manifestations of systemic circulatory impairment such as body swelling. Other possible symptoms include cardiac discomfort, during which patients often experience palpitations, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and radiating pain in the left forearm during excessive fatigue or stress.
