Trachoma concretions are usually treated with eye drops or medications effective against chlamydial infection. However, if significant pain is experienced, prompt medical attention at a hospital is necessary. It's important to maintain good eye hygiene in daily life to prevent worsening of the condition or additional discomfort. It is advisable to first visit an ophthalmologist at a hospital for a slit-lamp examination. In cases of severe conjunctival concretions, they can be removed under topical anesthesia, and anti-inflammatory eye drops may be used if inflammation is present.
