Can strabismus in toddlers resolve on its own?
Disease description:
The current situation is that the child is just 5 years old and has strabismus. Can childhood strabismus resolve on its own?
Strabismus in young children may sometimes resolve spontaneously. If it is pseudostrabismus, specifically pseudoesotropia caused by epicanthal folds, usually no special treatment is required. As the child grows older, the nasal bridge will gradually elevate. Strabismus with a deviation of 15 prism diopters may correct itself; however, in most cases, the degree of strabismus gradually increases and requires surgical intervention for proper correction and recovery.
