The most common cause of massive hemorrhage after surgery for gastric perforation is gastric ulcer, especially deep ulcers. Ulcers invading surrounding blood vessels leading to gastric bleeding are the most frequent complication. Additionally, when an ulcer progresses to a deep extent, it may penetrate the serosal layer, commonly seen in gastric perforation, perforated ulcer with hemorrhage, gastric cancer pathogenesis, and gastric ulcers.
