How long does pain last after circumcision surgery?
Disease description:
I woke up shortly after leaving the operating room, but I hadn't felt any pain yet. How long after a phimosis surgery does the pain start?
Pain is usually felt about 2–3 hours after circumcision surgery. Following the procedure, pain persists until the wound heals for the first time, which typically takes 7–10 days. However, the duration and intensity of pain vary among individuals—some people are more sensitive to pain stimuli, while others may feel little or none. Once the anesthetic wears off, penile pain may occur, but this discomfort can be relieved by taking analgesic medications.
