What are the causes of polycystic ovary syndrome?
Disease description:
I have polycystic ovary syndrome, but I don't know what caused it. Could you please tell me what are the causes of polycystic ovary syndrome?
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is primarily attributed to genetic and environmental factors. In addition, unfavorable environmental factors such as irregular work and rest schedules, poor dietary habits, frequent late-night stays, and prolonged mental stress, anxiety, and emotional instability may contribute to the development of PCOS. This condition can cause significant ovulatory dysfunction, leading to infrequent menstruation, reduced menstrual flow, or even amenorrhea, thereby affecting a woman's fertility.
