Does pain in the lower right abdomen mean salpingo-oophoritis?
Disease description:
I previously had salpingo-oophoritis, but it was successfully treated. Recently, I've started experiencing pain again in the lower right abdomen, and I'm worried that the salpingo-oophoritis might have recurred. Could this pain in the lower right abdomen be caused by salpingo-oophoritis?
Pain in the lower right abdomen may be due to adnexitis. Adnexitis is typically a condition caused by pathogens invading the female reproductive tract, leading to infection of the ovaries and fallopian tubes. It can cause symptoms such as pain in the lower right abdomen and abnormal vaginal discharge. Additionally, pain in the lower right abdomen might also result from other gynecological conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease or cervicitis, or non-gynecological conditions like appendicitis.
