Dr. Xie Zixing
The body temperature of newborns with jaundice does not necessarily rise. If a newborn develops physiological jaundice after birth, their temperature usually remains normal; apart from causing yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, it typically does not lead to other discomforts. However, if jaundice is caused by conditions such as hemolytic anemia or viral hepatitis, it may be accompanied by an elevated body temperature.
