Can moxibustion be used for breast cancer?

I recently felt a lump in my breast accompanied by some pain. After going to the hospital for an examination, the doctor diagnosed me with breast cancer. A friend suggested that I try moxibustion using moxa sticks. I'm wondering, is it safe or appropriate to use moxibustion for breast cancer?

In general, moxibustion is not recommended for breast cancer. Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves transmitting heat through skin acupoints, increasing skin temperature and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis. However, it does not provide therapeutic benefits for breast cancer patients and may accelerate local blood circulation, potentially leading to further tumor growth.
