What causes nose heatiness (nasal inflammation or discomfort)?
Disease description:
Recently, my nose has been a bit inflamed; I feel hot air when breathing. I would like to know what causes this nasal inflammation?
Nasal heatiness may be caused by insufficient body hydration, leading to dryness of the nasal mucosa, and in severe cases, it can even result in nosebleeds. Patients may take oral detoxifying and heat-clearing medications for treatment. It could also be due to cold exposure, decreased immunity, or viral infection, which requires saline nasal irrigation as prescribed by a doctor to reduce inflammation, along with anti-inflammatory and antiviral medications. A light diet should be maintained during recovery.
