Children's cough and fever are generally not pneumonia. When children have fever and cough, it only indicates a respiratory tract infection, which can be classified as upper or lower respiratory tract infection. The most common causes of respiratory infections are bacteria, viruses, mycoplasma, and chlamydia—these pathogenic microorganisms are the primary reasons for fever and cough in children. If the condition is not severe, medication can be used for treatment; however, if it is more serious, timely medical evaluation and targeted treatment at a hospital are necessary.
