Dr. Xie Zixing
If newborn jaundice is physiological, it usually does not require special treatment and typically resolves on its own over time. If the jaundice is pathological, phototherapy with blue light can be used to promote the breakdown of bilirubin and effectively alleviate jaundice symptoms. Medications such as carbamazepine or phenobarbital may also be used under a doctor's guidance.
