If newborn jaundice is physiological, special treatment is usually not required. The baby can be exposed to more sunlight, taking care to shield the eyes during sun exposure. The condition typically resolves on its own over time. If the jaundice is pathological, phototherapy with blue light can help promote bilirubin excretion. Additionally, intravenous albumin infusion at a hospital may be administered to alleviate symptoms.
