Is breast cancer hypoechoic?
Disease description:
I found a lump in my chest and went to the hospital for an ultrasound, which revealed a hypoechoic area in the breast tissue. Is breast cancer hypoechoic?
Breast cancer typically presents as a hypoechoic lesion on imaging, often accompanied by abnormal blood flow signals and poorly defined local borders. In the early stages, patients usually do not experience symptoms and the condition is commonly detected during routine physical examinations. As the disease progresses over time, it may lead to a palpable breast mass and symptoms such as nipple retraction.
