Pain caused by pleural effusion due to lung adenocarcinoma. A more direct approach is to perform thoracic drainage, removing the pleural fluid from the body, followed by intrapleural injection of chemotherapeutic agents such as cisplatin or bleomycin to control further accumulation of fluid. Another approach involves systemic chemotherapy or targeted therapy directed at the lung adenocarcinoma itself, controlling tumor progression and thereby alleviating pain caused by pleural effusion.
