Can high blood creatinine levels be lowered?
Disease description:
Recently, during a routine physical exam, I found that my blood creatinine level was a bit high. I'd like to ask: can elevated blood creatinine be lowered?
High blood creatinine levels can usually be reduced. If the elevation in blood creatinine is due to acute kidney injury, there is a greater likelihood of lowering it. However, if it results from chronic kidney failure, the possibility of reduction is smaller. Creatinine is an indicator of kidney function; when elevated blood creatinine levels occur, it is recommended to promptly follow appropriate treatment plans under a doctor's guidance.
