What is an intrahepatic cyst?
Disease description:
I've been feeling poor appetite, nausea, and vomiting frequently these past few days. After going to the hospital for an examination, the doctor diagnosed me with intrahepatic cysts. What exactly is intrahepatic cyst?
Hepatic cysts are relatively common benign conditions, possibly caused by congenital developmental abnormalities or genetic factors. Additionally, liver cysts may also result from trauma, parasitic infection, or inflammation. After the development of hepatic cysts, there may be no obvious clinical symptoms. However, some patients may experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and discomfort in the right upper abdomen due to compression when the cysts enlarge.
