Kidney diseases are classified into congenital hereditary kidney disease, secondary kidney disease, and primary kidney disease. Congenital hereditary kidney disease is associated with genetic abnormalities. Secondary kidney disease is usually caused by conditions such as diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, gouty nephropathy, hypertensive nephropathy, and allergic purpuric nephritis.
